Beatrice & Jacques

Born in Cameroon, located in West Africa, Beatrice grew up in a country which is geographically and culturally diverse thus the influence in her interior design style. With its multiple geographic landscapes, and its varieties of flora and fauna, Cameroon carries a long line of traditions and customs found elsewhere in the continent which has influenced Beatrice's style.

Born in Belgium, a Northwestern European country strategically located in the heart of Europe, Jacques grew up in a country which has been at the origin of centuries of many European artistic and cultural movements in painting and architecture, such as the Art Nouveau, the Mosan art, Romanesque, Baroque, and Gothic Architecture.

The couple met in school in Belgium, fell in love, got married and migrated to the United States of America in 2002. They raised their little girl Julie, and through Jacques and Beatrice's assignments throughout the United States, they collected even more items and styles which they incorporated to their unique and innovative interior design style.

Being away from their countries of origin, it was essential for them to provide Julie with a warm home environment where their child would grow up in a rich cultural background. Creating a sense of Home was essential to them. Home is where the heart is, and the merger of their two cultures, added to their multiple travels around the world and here in the United States, helped them create an art form of interior design that is unique in genre. Their style is a mix of modern, contemporary and ethnic patterns and textures, warm and functional with accents and pieces gathered from their travel.
